PROJECTS

This project involved the construction of TSF embankment comprising of borrowed and conditioned tailings material. Volume: 400,000 BCM. Liner: HDPE. 

Due to unseasonal rainfall, the Stage 3 Embankment works were required to be built 2 years early. The project was constructed under tight time frames. Volume: 100,000 BCM. Liner: HDPE. 

Stage 6 of the Northern Tailings Storage Facility involved the expansion of the storage capacity by 4.8 million cubic metres. Prior to this project, BK Civil Group had completed three dam wall lifts at the Lake Cowal Gold mine.

The project involved repairing flood-damaged roads and drainage structures to approximately 135km of sealed highways in accordance with TMR specifications.

The project involved Capping & Ancillary Works at the Emu Creek Landfill site. During works, Council transitioned the site from a landfill to a bin station to continue to provide waste disposal capability to the Emu Creek community. Due to the need to maintain an operating facility, the works were completed in two stages.

Delamere Air Weapons Range works involved the construction of various civil and road construction works within the Air Weapons Range. The project involved gravel re-sheeting, heavy formation grading, and minor works to approximately 51km of unsealed rural roads.

This project involved various works across the Woods Group properties in the district. Works involved construction clearing, construction of a retention pond, grain pads, and various ancillary works. 

The project involved the removal and replacement of RCIS which included the provision of concrete maintenance slabs in accordance with TMR specifications.

The project involved clearing silt and debris from several water crossings along Mt Sylvia Road in Tenthill. Completion of these works enabled the re-opening of Mt Sylvia Road to traffic.

Upgrade of Grassdale Feedlot’s main entrance access road. The works involved gravel overlay, in situ Triple Blend stabilisation and bitumen seal and widening of each side of the road. Roadworks also included the installation of RCP culvert drainage, construction of table drains, and traffic management of the access road which has up to 140 stock, grain and manure trucks using the access road daily. 

Earthworks involved bulk excavation with diggers ranging from 20t to 45t, spreading of material with Grader and Padfoot Roller following D8 Dozer. Section 1 involved the cut, fill, side cast, and compacting of 80,000m3 over 6km, and Section 4  involved the same process for a smaller 31,000m3 over 5km. Construction of channel and access roads was completed on time and to the required specifications. 

Plant hire project involving equipment and operators as follows; 2 x 140M graders, 4 x excavators ranging from 13 tonnes to 25 tonnes. Graders are equipped with GPS and UTS control (Trimble and Topcon) and excavators are equipped with Topcon GPS. All machines are operated by our final trim operators. Machine control is backed by our in-house GPS technician who has remote access to our equipment fitted with automated control capabilities.

Two full-service crews were provided to complete works which included gravel road re-sheeting, formation grading, pavement repairs, repair of scour damage to road formation, table drains and culvert structures, and reconstruction of causeways and floodways. All works were completed in accordance with QRA, NDRRA, and IRC specifications.

Works included gravel re-sheeting, heavy formation grading, and minor works to approximately 51km of unsealed rural roads in accordance with QRA, NDRRA, and SDRC specifications.
